i have a few eggs i cannot figure out which girls are laying them.

i have on cream color egg always on the ground under the nestbox.
it is a decent size egg - smaller, but still good size. never thought unitl now it could come from my crested polish.

Ah those Polish... yes, the eggs tend to be pointed. And if you find an egg on the ground, it's likely from a Polish - sometimes mine forget to go into the coop to lay and look surprised when they lay on the ground. Ditzy birds. BTW, I trim their topknot feathers, which seems to help them figure out where to go (and not walk into fences, which I've seen them do.) Blogpost here about this:

Most will lay pointed eggs although I have a few of my girls that If I didn't know they weren't all Polish I would say it was from a Silkie but more in likely it's a Polish.
