What color do RIR's feather with first?

My RIR's are 2 days old and their wing feathers have started coming in. They are black and gold. I saw the fella I bought these eggs from gather them from the breeding pen- only big red chickens. I set them that day. Is this normal?

Yep, black, red, white... red feathers won't come in till their teen feathers pop up.
