i have a welsummer hen that's not getting along with the rest of the flock but the only roo i have now is ee. would like to know if that would make a dark olive tint egg? i would like to raise chicks to replace her. then everyone might get along better.

That would be my guess, as well. A blue shell with a dark brown coating over it, making a dark olive egg. That might turn out really pretty.

It's always a pain when chickens don't get along. Is she aggressive or getting picked on?

Assuming the blue egg gene was passed on - that would be correct.

You could also get a plain brown egg.

she is agressive with everyone smaller than her which includes the big chicks. one other ee bantum lays an olive tinted egg so i guess she is a cross but of what i don't know.
