What color eggs.

I have 3 Americana/Silkie mixes. 2 females and 1 male.
Mom is Americana and dad is a silkie.
They were all hatched from blue eggs.
Two questions:
1. Will the females lay blue eggs?
2. Will the male carry the blue egg gene as well?

There is no guarantee with mixes. They may or they may not. Especially if these are Easter Eggers and not Ameraucanas since they have a huge variety of egg colors and looks.

No but blue x brown usually results in colored layers but I think that cross typically produces green eggs not blue but idk.

Oh, okay, i thought that they were saying the silkies gave the colored trait. I've never seen a silkie lay a brown egg though. Mine always were pale cream or white
