I'm getting a OE/lavender orpington cross and just wondered if she will lay colored eggs like her mom?? I have no idea how colored egg genetics work😆 Pics are of parents.

Probably a 50% chance that she'll lay green eggs, and a 50% chance that she'll lay brown eggs.

Egg color genetics pretty much sorts into two parts:
blue vs. not-blue
brown coating vs. not-brown-coating

A green or olive egg is blue with a brown coating.

The gene for blue eggs is dominant, and it is likely that the Olive Egger has one copy of that gene. So she might have passed it to her daughter, but might not. The chances are about equal either way.

The brown coating is controlled by a bunch of genes, but the pullet almost certainly got some from each parent, so she will lay eggs with a brown coating (= brown eggs or green eggs, depending on whether she got the blue egg gene too.)
