What color is he? LOTS of PICS added!!!

To a Production Red - You should get, theoretically, some red barred birds, red birds, white birds, barred birds with red leakage, black birds with red leakage, and so on. A good ol' hodgepodge of colors.

blaundee: If he were mine and I were wanting red barred (maybe barred red) I would try breeding him first to Rhode Island Red or Buckeyes for a darker red. Offspring may lose some of the barring but when breeed back together should produce some good red barred. The offsrping could also be bred to a black sex linked rooster, he having the red from his sire.
Keep updated info for us.

Ah, thanks! I was wondering how to breed in new blood later on, I never thought about a BSL rooster having a red gene... THANKYOU!

Also, later down the line, I'd like to add some blue egg genes in there- should I use a red rooster when that time comes? If I use a black rooster, will it make those babies black instead of red?

uh, oh, no my mind is smoking... lol... I'm about to pick up a black/lav split Americauna rooster and now I've got all sorts of ideas.....
