The off-colored poult is bronze-based, so your Self Blue hen can't be pure. The poult is either a Red Slate (male) or a Blue Narragansett (female). From the pictures it looks more like Red Slate.

I hatched. The self blue from eggs I got from a friend. She had a free range flock of blue slates, blacks abs chocolates but no red bourbon

The sibling from the hatch that I got my self blue from where , black or blue slate

Red Slates are basically Bronze turkeys with one copy of the dominant slate gene (D).
Unlike their name, they don't carry any red genes.
