I bought 6 hatching eggs from a lady that breeds silkies. Most of her colors seemed to be standard or common non-standard. All eggs hatched but one of my blue chicks got eaten by a hawk the other day. I know all the colors of the chicks besides one (blue, chocolate, lavender, black). It hatched neon yellow with some faint blue/gray shading on its butt, which is why I know it's not partridge. It also has 6 toes which is odd
It has started to get some random tanner splotches throughout its body, and the darker blue/gray/black is mostly concentrated on the hard wing feathers or some random brindling elsewhere on the body. So far I haven't found any examples of a chick that looks like this, so I was just curious to see if anyone has a better idea on its coloring. Pretty sure it's at least a buff/cream base. I'm also stumped on whether its a cockerel or pullet. It's pretty small compared to all the other chicks and is typically stooped down, not roughhousing like the others, but has a pink-ish nub for its comb.
