Hi! I have some D'Uccle Bantam chicks (this is my first time with D'uccles) but I don't know what colors they will be as adults. One is a black on her back and head, with pale yellow or her stomach and throat. My other girl is all pale yellow. What colors will they be as hens? :jumpy --> :cd thanks!

Can you post some pics of your chicks? Based on your description, the black backed/pale yellow chick sounds like it is probably a Black Mottled d'Uccle (which means as an adult, it will have mottled black and white feathers), and the solid pale yellow chick sounds like it might be a Golden Neck ed d'Uccle (which means as an adult it will have gold and white feathers), but without pics, it is impossible to be sure.

Those are pictures from a few weeks ago, but you can see my yellow chick (Daisy) and my black/yellow chick (Wendy). I looked up the suggestions you made in your previous post, and they helped a lot. Thanks!:goodpost:

Thanks for posting the pics. Wendy looks like a Mottled D'Uccle, however Daisy appears to be a very pale yellow and I think is more likely a White D'Uccle than a Golden Necked D'Uccle. If so, she will have all white feathers as an adult. Now hopefully, they will turn out to be a Daisy and a Wendy rather than a Donald and a Peter.)

Haha, ya! Thanks for your help! I hadn't noticed before because of their red heat lamp, but Daisy is developing caramel colored streaks, so I think she may be a gold necked after all! Thanks again!
