Do you have pictures?I had one that looked just like your little one in the pic and thought for sure she was going to be a blue, but nope, she's pure white! It's really hard to tell at that age because they change and grow so quickly.
Actually it's not that hard to tell what color a chick is gonna be. Though at times, it could be hard to tell the difference between a couple that look really similar, like partridge, & blue partridge chicks.I had one that looked just like your little one in the pic and thought for sure she was going to be a blue, but nope, she's pure white! i agree. my 6 week old is not anything like she was as a newborn. buff partridge to a gray with buff and black tips.I had one that looked just like your little one in the pic and thought for sure she was going to be a blue, but nope, she's pure white! Not completely abnormal for a splash chick to be very light, almost white in color with down.Yes, but I'll have to find them. I just recently got a new phone so my photos are scattered throughout several SD cards. I'll post the pics as soon as I find them though. While in the process of trying to find the chick I'm talking about from my first batch, I did run across one from my second batch of Silkie's my broody hen hatched. This one hatched very light colored and ended up being a splash. Her name is "Silvia".
