This is their coloring. They have pure genetics. Also thank you.I don't know how the genetics are set up in your specific chickens. Are those genetics pure or are they mixed? Red covers a wide range of genetics anyway, from bright red to brown.
In general I'd expect the offspring to be more of an orange color, somewhere between the red and yellow. Mine were when I crossed a Speckled Sussex rooster with Buff Orpington hens. But mine were pure. If your chickens' genetics are pure you should see consistent results. If they are not pure you could get a pretty wide range of colors and shades.
