Yes I will get her in an hour or so when she’s on the roost to check her out.It seems like she maybe sick? Can you get a closer picture of her? Bring her inside and check her for mites and how is her poo? Give her some vitamins, I recommend B complex and E. Has she molted this year?
She’s 1.5 years old. They free range and get fermented mixed grains. Also organic layer feed, soy free.Poor girl.

There’s lots of calcium available but they hardly touch it. The soil here is mineral rich.
Her crop seems full and feels like gravel. There’s also a lump above it that I can feel.Yes I will get her in an hour or so when she’s on the roost to check her out.
This is my Mille fleur hen. She has not layed for a while. She sits like this and presses her tail down. While it’s usually straight up.
She doesn’t have the typical egg bound posture
What could be wrong with her?
She seems to eat and drink normal
Thanks

Check the crop in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink, see if it's emptied. If it hasn't, then begin addressing that symptom according to the article linked below. Her crop seems full and feels like gravel. There’s also a lump above it that I can feel.
I will give her some vitamins tomorrow
Such good information. Thank you.Check the crop in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink, see if it's emptied. If it hasn't, then begin addressing that symptom according to the article linked below.
Sitting with the tail down, she's not well. It can be hard to know what's happening, but it'd be a good idea to give her 1 Calcium Citrate+D3 tablet once daily for 3-5days to see if she's having hard time expelling an egg or lash material.
