What could be wrong?

Thank you! I will check her again in the morning. She got a little more active towards the late afternoon, so I’m hoping she’s feeling a little better. Going to check her closely again her first thing in the morning. Her laying patterns show she’d be due to lay tomorrow. I’ll keep a close eye on here.
Is she in a crate?
Did you check her crop at roost time...then take all feed and water away??
Will it be easy to see what she pooped out overnight?

Does she make clucking sounds and puffs up even more when you get near her? If so, she might be broody.
How does her poop look?
No, she’s pretty quiet anyway. Usually when I come near my hens they do the squat. She didn’t today though. She had a few different poops today. Some looked like it was next to nothing.

I last checked her about 4pm today. Her chest felt soft but not the puffy and extra squishy it was at 7:30am. I did see her eat around late afternoons so I’m taking that as a good thing. I hadn’t seen her at the food box all day. I will check their droppings thoroughly in the morning. She sleeps about in the same spot every night. I use a coop camera, so I’ll know where she would have been. She’s not in a crate tonight due to very cold temperature. I wanted her to stay warm with the others.

How cold is it?

Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!
