I have a three week old chick that was walking, running normally and within three days loose the ability to stand. No other symptoms. She lays with her legs to the side and I can tell it in pain/not comfortable. Is it prolonging the inevitable by trying to help this one. I have tried vitamin boost, prebiotic, eggs... I haven't tried leg splinting yet but everywhere I read is that she is too old for it anyway.

Did the vitamins you used have a riboflavin or other b vitamins? Could the chick have been injured or fallen? Is it hot where dehydration could be a problem?

Vitamin E and electrolytes. I'm going to pick up a Vitamin b complex today...I haven't tried riboflavin. Shr is eating and drinking fine. And she isn't hot. She is next to a heat lamp but it's in a controlled temp room.

What will the riboflavin do?

When chicks get leg and foot issues, curled order toes or sitting on hocks, riboflavin B2 deficiency might be ruled out by supplementing with human B complex 1/4 tablet daily crushed into a spoonful of water or hidden in a little food.
