I had a batch of Turkey eggs in , 5, and all but one died. They were all fertile and developing well but come hatch day only one hatched out. When I looked at what stage they died it was just as the yolk was starting to be absorbed. One was a bit before that, and one was almost completely absorbed - the other two were in the middle range.

My questions is what the heck caused this to happen? Genetics? The incubation? Humidity?..ect..

I have a Janoel 48 incubator and have had good success before with chickens.

So I had the eggs in for 24 days at 37.6*C and about 50% humidity and then at day 25 I took them out of the egg turner and increased to humidity to 65-70%.

The babe that did hatch I now placed with a 2 week old chick 'tutor' friend. and is doing fine.

The humidity was too high the first 26 days. Shoot for 25%-35% unless you have specific reason to go above that. Once you have a pip, aim for 75% - 80%. Turkeys are harder to hatch. And be sure to have good ventilation.

Aww man :/ I read in a couple of places for 45-50% then 65-70%

but wouldn't the embryos have died before hand if it was too humid?
