what could they be?

I have a chance to get some free chicks from school that they hatch every yr. they don't know what they could be but maybe silkies, others are black with some yellow i think and brown with yellow. hope i have those colors right. but any chance anyone would know what they could be or are they mixed worth getting or not.

It is hard to say what they could be without a picture. Some of my cutest chicks are mixed breeds. So I wouldn't say that they are not worth getting. Any chicken that lays an egg is worth getting to me.

i committed myself to 6 before talking to my hubby, and he said get all you can.

i almost hit the floor. so i think i will be getting 12, i think thats all we can handle.

That is awesome!! All chicks are cute and the more the merrier!! I can't get enough of them . I have an incubator going. One broody that hatched out chicks last week and 2 more broodies sitting on eggs. Plus 3 chicks in the brooder. And I still want more!! I only have 2 silkies and that is just NOT enough!! Good luck with your new chickies, we will be waiting for pics!!

i wish i can get my hens to sit on eggs but nothing yet. i will get pic on here friday we are checking out options for a new coup. not sure why he is in such a great mood but i am going to take full advantage of it.
