What determines sex in a chicken egg?

Is the sex in a chicken egg determined by geneology like humans or maybe more like turtle eggs that go by heat?
Just a curious question. I've always wondered so I figured I would ask.

Embryo sex is determined by the chromosome passed by the mother. Hatched sex is influenced by temperatures. At ideal temps the hatch should be close to 50/50 and greater percentage of eggs hatch. At extremes of high or low the ratio of males vs females can be skewed.

Reptiles can actually have sex set by temperature, which is cool/weird....

So chickens are roughly liek humans in sex determination. Reptiles do all kinds of weird stuff.
