What dewormer should I use?

Hi I have 5 chickens and noticed a very long white worm in one of the poops today, haven’t seen any others yet but I want to deworm as soon as possible to prevent any major issues. Anyone recommend a specific brand or product to treat with? I think it is tape worm but not 100% sure. Thank you for any help!!

Get some valbzen for goats or safeguard for horse, that was likely a round worm.

If it is a tapeworm (which are more rare), I think Valbazen will treat it, but SafeGuard might not (it depends on the specific kind of tapeworm) - they both do treat most other worms though. Are you able to take a poop sample to a vet and ask for a fecal float test to determine what type of worm? Many vets will do a fecal float even if they don't treat poultry.

Thank you! I will definitely see if any vets near me will do a sample if it’s not crazy expensive. Currently treating with apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar will not treat worms. Do you have a picture of the poop/worm? Lots of people here are experienced at identifying the type of worm. Then, a proper treatment can be recommended.
