I am mostly a chicken person, so I'd greatly appreciate some help from a turkey person. For the last two years I have raised some Double-Breasted White Turkeys that have turned out VERY large. Those are the only turkeys I have any knowledge/experience of/with. This year I only managed to get two DBW turkeys, I wanted six. Today I went to the feed store. They had two "5 month old toms" (no further info) someone had sold them, that they had been feeding for a month and really wanted to get rid of. They knew I had wanted more turkeys and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. So now I would like to figure out what breed(s) they are, how old they actually are, and verify they are both toms. Looking on line, they might be Heritage (standard) Bronze, Eastern Wild, or Narragansett, but I'm not sure which. The bigger one with lighter wings I am calling Cranberry and the other one is Sweet Potato. The DB Whites are Stuffing (bigger) and Gravy.
