What did i do wrong with 1st hatch to make the.2nd better?

I candled some of them before and after lockdown and they had developed and there was movement. So I'm not sure what happened with them. I didn' open them though

I've had much better success hatching shipped eggs upright in cartons. After incubating upright. And sourcing eggs from as close as possible. I no longer buy from more than 1 state away. Shipped eggs are always a gamble. Did you have experience hatching before the shipped eggs?

Wow, you just pitched them? I'm way too nosy for that You can learn a lot from your quitters...it's helpful to open them and see what's inside. Compare to egg development charts (like this one) to pinpoint when they stopped.
