We are 30+ chickens right now...30 more on the way
2 indoor dogs
1 Ranch dog
150 cattle100 quail
2 horses
9 barn cats
are looking into goats and have a HUGE garden to tend
ACK!!!
plus work full time and raise a devilish 8 yr old

Yep we are close.

One of the reasons for the chicks is to eat the grasshoppers that are eating my garden.
50 of the chicks are meat birds so in a few months we will be down to just 50 more layers.
We calve out a little over 100 heifers right here and the cows are calved elsewhere.
1 dog. We lost our old border collie this spring. She was 14 and still a good cattle dog until she died.
4 horses
9 big healthy cats.
No goats. My husband would feed the goat to the cats if one showed up here.
4 children that I homeschool.
no quail but plenty of pheasants living off of chicken food.

Luckily we dont have the hopper issues out here...however we have pocket moles and ground squirrels that decimate everything!
