So just when I finally had all my chickens out of quarantine and big enough to be in together...my horse boarder, bless her heart, brought me 3 little guys she bought at a garage sale...on a Sunday evening, when I had no chick starter, and nothing set up :) But we got all set up, and now I have these three little guys. So we got them set up in quarantine, and are doing well, but now I'm wondering what I have...what age they are? Can we sex them yet? I'm assuming they're all barnyard mixes, but do they have any specific breed look to them? A and B both have feathered legs/ feet.

Well... I'm not familiar with all breeds out there but maybe some kind of Japanese bantam mix? They don't look pure but they don't look far off it either. Maybe crosses between two Japanese bantam breeds?

I think at the very least they're over 7 weeks, quite possibly a lot more than that, and all pullets.

I would expect to see much more crest development on males at that stage of feathering, but, that all depends on how they were reared/fed/bred and it's possible you may have a male, I'd guess the white if so, but at the moment my vote is definitely on pullets. Some Japanese breeds develop quite slowly but that's still a bit of a stretch I reckon, they should be showing something.

The little one in the middle in the middle pic is quite cute, but they all are.

If you can get a better view of their crests we might see something relevant but I expect it'd show breed or genetics more than gender, probably, they aren't looking male to me.

Best wishes.

This is my first year chicken keeping (first year this city girl has lived on a farm)...so I have lots to learn. I really appreciate your reply.

They look lovely, hope you and they enjoy your time together. Chooks can be quite interesting and decent pets or livestock. Best wishes with them.
