The egg yoke sack on a newly hatched chicken is an integral part of its internal organs or at least it is attached to its internal organs. All freshly hatched chick should be left alone for 3 days post hatching so that they can fully use up or absorb the yoke in the external yoke sack. The likely hood is that the humidity was to low where the chick hatched and part of the eggshell became stuck or glued to the yoke sack and when the eggshell was forcefully removed damage was done to the chick.
Notice how the chick seemed to rest or be exhausted after it first came all the way out of the shell. A 2 or 3 day rest period is then critical for a newly hatched chick to absorb the rest of the yoke sack and rest.
