same for us, nothing planted yet and looks rather cold to be planting;[It's generally warmer here in late winter so we put our boc choy and broccoli our at the end of feburary when we plant our snow peas and spinach. But now it's been such a cool spring that we are going to be much later than usual on our tomatoes, cucumbers and eggplant.
or just weeding;]Boiling water will kill the roots of many invasive plants and it's lots safer all around than roundup.
I planted cabbage, Broc, brussell sprouts all plants..and some seeds beets, peas, spinach, radish's daughter insisted they actually came up ..I am in north west IL have had the same crappy weather as you..my garden is about 6 inches of mud right now it has been raining for days.......I JUST started digging up my garden last week. Unfortunately this week it has rained....and rained...and rained....I hope to maybe get back into the garden by Friday or the weekend.
I haven't decided what to plant yet. Trying to be as strategic as possible as for the last couple of years of so, we have had wet springs, then as the summer has gone on, more of a drought.
Weeding doesn't kill burdock roots or johnson grass roots or bermuda grass roots. They just sneak in from a different direction. Burdock root is known to go down to 5' in the ground around here. Ah'm not diggin' a 5' hole in my garden. Just sayin'.or just weeding;]
Argh, me too! ....need a bigger garden. I've got all my space planned out for each tomato and I'm pushing it on spacing for watermelon and cantaloupe and I just realized I have more seeds coming. Malabar spinach can grow straight up, but the others may have to go in the freezer for next year.Today I got my Bradley, big beef, sweet 100 and my roma tomatoes in the ground. Also planted my sweet peppers. Now I'm trying to figure out where to plant my cantaloupe and water melons. Then gotta find a place for my corn cukes and squash. I have come to the conclusion I need a bigger garden.
