What did you do in the garden today?

Looks like buds and will soon bloom. Mine had a shade of pink flowers.

Sure, if I can keep it alive long enough it'll bloom darn heat.
We had one in California that bloomed pink, I loved it! These are bright red and supposed to tolerate our heat/sun better tgan the pink variety. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I have a new home picked out for it, just holding until fall when it's cooler and the area gets some shade.

You may consider container growing it. I had mine in a quite large pot. I of course brought mine in due to cold. You can keep yours out most of the year, and just bring inside during extreme heat.

I'm considering it. I really need some shade where I am thinking of planting it though. I'm researching companions that will help shade the soil around it, but not sure what would also be compatible with the chickens yet.

Mine has red flowers, too! Though not right now. I think I need to add some compost to the pot.

It's extremely hot and humid here--blech. We went to the beach last weekend, and even the ocean side was too warm to be refreshing. Usually that doesn't happen until mid- to late-August.

The only things I've been doing are watering the driveway plants and picking ripe things. Oh, and yelling at the rabbits.

they say we will see 85 today I believe it when it happens we get a few of them off and on
we shot off what we had bought about 80 worth then sat around waiting to hear them stop get some sleep that was 11:30 pm woke good at 9am hope all have a good day

Been gone and just catching up . On tomato seed instead of fermenting try 50-50 vinegar and water . It takes the slime off the seed . I found this out out by accident on vegetable salad marinade .
On the wine cap mushrooms please share what you did initially to start you bed . I tried one years ago and failed .
