What did you do in the garden today?

My shameful garden. Honestly, my dad got sick and then passed and then I got chickens that have wiped out my starts a few times and set me back. I have not gotten my garden wiggle on- hence looking to you guys & gals for inspiration. I did scoop horse poop to cap off compost. Plan to go up the mountain and cut guava sticks and replace my old trellis's, then trim and steak my toms b4 monsters find them. Also caged lettuce etc. Need to build box... remains to be seen. It’s....GREEN!!!....:hit lol

ETA: how do you love your composter’s ?
Really like the tumblers for chicken poop, kitchen scraps, garden waste and leaves. Makes quick dirt here. about 2-4 weeks. Use County bins for horse poop. Those work great too!
I'm going to consider that my before photo... Les see what i can do this coming week. Still super hot here like summer. Think winter is skipping us this year :( Have been riding and playing with chickens instead.

It’s been 3 years since my Father Died. I believe every time you speak of someone who’s passed they hear you. Grief has stages. They always repeat. In time they take on new meanings. My brother & I took mom to a car dealership to trade in the handicap van they drove. To get her a car.
There were beautiful ornamental palms out front. I took a handful of seed pods. Just one took off. Grew it for a year inside then planted it. It hit over 6’ this last year. I have no idea how it survives I have no idea how to trim it. My brothers wife (younger than me) died too young and unexpected. I planted her favorite Shasta Daisy’s. I find peace when I tend to them in my garden. I talk to them. Sometimes I cry. Just cause...
