It was *8 this morning supposed to warm up to
*41 Yay!
Been sunny & snow is melting.
But forecasters call for three days of snow & heavy winds and crappy weather.
I threw together a (getto-fabulous) hawk hideout/dust bathe area. The chickens used it all winter...the dirt stayed dry. So next year I’ll be sure to improve on and make another. The soil is gonna be awesome!

We have lost the two of the domes we use the one we used to hold everything we did not want in the garage, now the one I use as a greenhouse had collapsed these were geodesic domes the hubs and such are pvc all 4 years old and just giving up

We got about 4 inches of snow and then I have no idea how much sleet and freezing rain overnight. It's right at 32F right now. I think I better fire up the snow blower for this slop. The high temps are supposed to be in the 40's for the next 3 days. So means more mud is on the way. Yuck!

Almost 40 degrees today. But back to snow and ice, and wind tomorrow for the next week. I'm going out to scoop the stalls and let the chickens roam for a while. I picked up some seed packets in town yesterday, but it's too early to start them.

I did get a pair of trays with a heat mat included for 20$. The mats alone are selling for more than that. So bonus. I also picked up some coir bricks. Those with some fertilizer added in for shoot support will be worthwhile, I hope. It's amazing to me the lack of starting supplies out there. It's as bad as the grocery store only carrying quick meals, and not ingredients anymore. No wonder we all turn to the internet.

Anyway...

I'll use those the two mats for my lettuce now. They'll appreciate the warmer than my garage soil to get going. April seems forever from now.

Rain from 5:30am projected rain until 9:00 pm.
Flash flooding Will happen.
Made a nice fire.
Made Blueberry French toast with fresh berries & whip cream.
Made my hubby a Valentines from the dogs! lol.
Already have dinner ready to go. Going to watch Netflix and stuff chocolate in my face!!
