What did you do in the garden today?

As I remember, I did transplant it about 10 months ago and I used regular Miraclegro. It was half this size when I put it into its current pot. So maybe I should just get a larger pot.???View attachment 1697056 This is a 6 inch pot. It is very healthy.
It needs some pruning--I'd take off the outer 3 layers of leaves or so--but I'm not seeing any "suckers" (small plants growing from the original) that need to be divided.

Gardening is on hold until Tuesday, when I'm stuck here with the rain falling.

I'll start some seedlings then and get some milkweed into some cold storage and wet medium.

It will be warm enough to work with the doors open, so that will be nice.

Warm day today, 33 degrees, and sunny. A sweatshirt was plenty, and DH and I spent 4 hours scraping the barn clean. OMG so nasty. With the warmer temps, we were finally able to find the rubber floor under all the alpaca poo. Absolute gold we were shoveling into the garbage, but with the extended cold temps and 2 feet of snow everywhere, I can't get it to where it needs to go to break down and with the extra 2 months of winter, my compost PILES are full to the brim.

My garbage guy is going to HATE me. I might have to make him some cookies or something.

We were also able to de-skunk the stall that was sprayed by the skunk and open the barn doors wide to fresh air, THAT was awesome.

Water water everywhere, but chickens and pacas are dry. Getting to them is icky.

Ran from hail! I can't remember the last time we got hail in the Bay area.

Can recall as child in Wisconsin Grandma standing in the door yelling at my brother and I "you get in here one could hit you then what" we loved the hail storms, tornado's anything we wanted to see.. our hail was the size of baseballs

Rainbow bridge for our Violet. Looks like she passed right after she came iff the roost this morning. She hadn't been sick. She's a huge breed bird and was 4.5. I think it was just age. She had a lovely 4 hours free-ranging yesterday.

Sorry about your Violet! We had one that just died about 2 weeks ago. Laid an egg, then we found her a few hours later in the run, no obvious signs of problems. However, she died on her 1st "hatch-day", so must have had an internal issue that was not apparent. Glad your violet lived many years and enjoyed free-ranging.
