What did you do in the garden today?

Hello,

I just finished talking with my landlord. He gave me permission to do a garden. However, I am limited to a 12 foot by 18 foot space due to the size of my backyard. Hence, I am limited to four 4 foot by 4 foot boxes, and 1 4 foot by 8 foot box.

So, I'm planning out my vegetable garden. I'm planning on doing cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, and corn in the big box.

I'm planning on building the boxes sometime this week or the next week. I'm going to be using the Terra Preta soil I mentioned earlier.

Jared
Sounds wonderful

It's about 4 years old. It was really small when I got it and while I was bouncing around from place to place after I sold my other house this little guy went to live in my office where I worked. He spent a year there and pushed out 3 lemons. They never ripened but I picked them and used them and they were pretty good. (maybe it's really a lime tree?) I just re-potted it last month and it is getting a little healthier now. But right now he is only about 18 inches tall. I repotted him in miracle grow potting mix so he shouldn't need more fertilizer yet, correct?
I wouldn’t fertilize right after transplanting. Give it a couple months. And I’d pinch the blooms off so all that plant energy goes to new roots not fruits....but that’s just me.

Road trip to the DMV.
8:00a till 4:00p :th
Got some good pictures from the passenger seat. Of blooming desert yuccas and Joshua Trees.
Highlight of my day? At Walmart. A guy parked by us with a cute dog we started chatting he said “Hey! Ya wanna see my dog pee on two legs?”
I’m thinking that’s an old joke if his dog comes over and pee’s on my legs....
Said sure!
So he walks little “Ruckus” over to a bush...low and behold he tinkles walking on his front legs.
I asked for a video. Ruckus no longer had to go.
So took his picture.
We laughed about it all day.
We don’t get out much....can ya tell?? :old
