What did you do in the garden today?

I got my garden bed finished. Had to drive to the store for a grocery run. Glad I got the garden bed finished early as it is pouring right now. The woods behind my backyard are greening up and the grass just turned a brighter shade of green after it started raining. I finally planted my butternut squash seeds indoors. Tomorrow I'm getting the rest of the materials I need for the remaining garden beds. I'm trying to do some shopping around for dirt. I only need about 1 cubic yard and the local nurseries and garden centers won't deliver that small amount. So it's me and my tiny car. Next year I can just relax and plant things without having to build more garden beds. Thank goodness.

Ok I need some help on where to plant my fruit trees. I bought 3 pear, 5 apple, 4 peach, 2 muscadine, and 2 grape vines this year. I have them potted in big pots until I figure out where I want them to go. I know muscadine and grapes dont need to be near each other so they wont cross pollinate, my apples will all pollinate each other and I already have 4 but they won't pollinate the new ones so they don't have to go with them. I want to dig up my scuppernong vine and put it near the new ones where ever they go. The pics I'm posting are of my back yard where I would like some, if not all, to be planted but if needed I can put up to maybe 5 trees in the front yard after we fell the sweet gums so they will have enough sun. The backyard at the gardens has a pecan tree that will cause some shade but not too much and the big cedar is no longer a problem for shade bc the tornado we had last week knocked half its branches down so should be adequate sunlight. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks you guys!

This isn't technically gardening, but my kids and I are trying to save a pine tree in the front yard. It fits with Earth day, right?
The tree is about 20 feet tall, but honeysuckle has smothered it. Last year (our first year here), I cut all the vines at ground level to kill the vines in the tree. Or so I thought. This year it came back stronger than ever, so we went out today and attacked it from below ground. We can't put chemicals on it as it would harm the tree, since the roots are wrapped around the tree roots. My kids cut vines and helped pull them up. I dug up roots and finally found the source. The root ball was as big as a small tree! I couldn't get the taproot out, as it was too deep and almost under the pine tree trunk, but I cut away at it as best I could and cut all the runners. Then we pulled up as many as we could.

I am crossing my fingers that the tree comes back!
Well, if worst case scenario does happen to the tree I would be glad to send you some pine tree saplings. We have TONS of them. Long leaf, loblolly, short leaf, and pinion pines. Just lmk if you want some and you are welcome to them

And here are a few pics of the little gardens that are in the front yard and in another post of my backyard there is one of the big watermelon rows. I will snap pics of the little melon patch by the house tmrw.

The pic with the greens growing is from back in December but I think it's cute since some bunny decided to follow me and sample a few things for us.

So those pots I need to paint got washed yesterday, I have far more than I thought I had. Today is paint day. I'm really looking forward to it because my project table is covered with plants in small pots and seedlings. Leaves are pretty much out on the tree above and that table is in almost full shade and they need lots of sun.
I've my potting soil waiting to have additions mixed in and I'm having to sit on my hands not to do it until the pots are done.
Nice long spring this year, most years it's two weeks of spring and then hot, but we've had a month of cool nights and warm days so far.
