What did you do in the garden today?

I bought a withered up Iris bulb from the discount bin at Walmart for a $. Planted it yesterday in a pot! does that count??? After peeling back the outer layer of dried leaves, I found at least 3 succulent growing tips. May have to go back later to see if they have any left. I'm a sucker for cheap plants. Still sprouting grains for the flock. 2' of snow here, with an other big dump scheduled for end of this week, and an other one for early next week. Oh joy!

I started my seeds also! Corn, (for looks) tomatoes, strawberries, LOTS of squash, pumpkins, Brussel sprouts, Lavender, sunflower, tulips, primrose, ect. :ya  All in my greenhouse!

You are so lucky, I don't start seeds till April 1st.. No body plants, around here, till Mothers Day, or the weekend after. Might be able to start early this year though. I started on the dirt early because the weather's been so nice, not wet. If I wait too long, like I have in the past, ground really hardens up.

@Honey Maid There are good things about living in Zone 9, but where I live it gets to about 115 degrees in the summer.

But yay for swimming pools!

Went into the green house and saw that my basil, pumpkin, and strawberries had sprouted after 4 days, and harvested some more onions.
