What did you do in the garden today?

Upstate NY Zone 5 - I ran the snow blower to open the paths for the chickens.
Still have almost 2 feet in my garden, and no end in site for the next few weeks/month.

What's wrong with my corn seedlings? They wilted and weren't even attached with their roots?

Either damping off, which is a soil fungus but not really reliant on being too moist, or you have cut worms or grubs. Id lean towards the animals since the corn plants aren't dessicated.

I'm in zone 7a and that's what mine looks like too. Last year I had tomatoes planted in the hoop house before now.

i was under the impression poppies didnt transplant well. I grew them outdoor a year ago a plot 3' x 20' it was very pretty, I planted in late fall and overwintered them, I didnt have to do anything

Never noticed an obvious shock period in the plant After planting out oriental poppies... But mine were from a nursery and a good size... Other varieties like California poppies I direct seed, have to redo it every year they don't come back here... But the oriental ones do winter well.

I germinated 50 Tomato , 36 Kale, 36 Broccoli, 50 Lettuce and 25 Cherry tomato plants in paper towels. All organic heirloom
