What did you do in the garden today?

All the puppies looked like both of these. I think the only ones with blue eyes were all the light colored dogs. One had 1 blue and one brown eye. We had wanted her but they said she was already claimed.
And that stinks the other was claimed. :(

But it seems like you got some good ones anyway!! :D

Something like that, haha! I'm not too sure myself, someone mentioned it amd off to google I went.. This is what I've mapped out, with basil and marigolds sporadically planted..

Looks fun!

Don't forget to report again later.

Also next year you want to move things around, similar in idea to crop rotation. The corn will be resource heavy and very much need a fall fertilization effort after its done. Rhubarb is great! not many people would have thought of that! Nice.

Are there fences around this spot?

There might be some small tiny issue if the melons on the left are between both fencing and really tall plants. But maybe that's not bad. Its hard to see how it will look without the land. Are there any trees near the edges of these areas also?

For us the fruit trees near the garden didn't matter while the soil was fresh, but after the first year or so the roots competed for nutrients in one garden section.

Hope that helps. Don't give up. (You can try potatoes too if you want. Good for space and value.)

@BReeder! If you don't mind, please keep us posted on those peppers. I collect a lot of seeds and I'm always looking for hearty breeds. Planted some today, in fact.

P.S. I don't know if your little one is into peppers yet, but my Ayla has loved the mini-sweets since his age. This is my first year in trying to sow since we have our own property. We shall see...
Maybe you guys can do a seed trade of some kind. That's a lot of peppers.

I like it!

I tried to do a bit of weeding yesterday. Some of my girls / little helpers were so impatient they made it quite challenging (or, it's so long since they've seen a garden fork they've forgotten how deadly it could be!)
