What did you do in the garden today?

I always think it is so strange that there is a "New Zealand" breed of rabbit overseas. I've never seen that breed here in New Zealand. While some people do keep rabbits here, they are not native, and are a serious agricultural pest!
So I've learned...I need to look into the origins of the breed! 💞

It's a sunny Saturday afternoon here, after a frosty start. I've put sticks in the ground for my peas to climb up once they germinate, and I'm about to spread some compost on one of the vegetable patches. After that, I will plant sweetpeas along the wall behind the flower garden. We have another frost forecast tomorrow. I'm hoping that will be the last one this spring.

You're looking to the end of frost & we're waiting for it to happen!

Morning all. I was just talking to my aunt who is in Vancouver WA & she said it's so eery. Street lights are on in the middle of the day & she can't see the sun. Thankfully they are ok so far, but they are ready to bug out. She said showers are in the forecast for next week - I sure hope so! Stay safe all of you out there.

Was sitting on the deck watching the chickens line up for the 1 magical nest box & laughing at the old lady who no longers lays but is still in line bitching up a storm anyway. :gigChickens are funny critters.

Not much happening in the garden, picked another squash. I know I have beans to pick but that will have to wait till this afternoon as we're headed out to my house that's going on the market today or tmrw. Here's hoping for a quick, easy sale! 🤞

Have a great day all, it's beautiful fall weather here & I'm loving it.

Good morning gardeners. It got down to 48F overnight. I still had a couple of windows cracked for fresh air. I picked over a half pound of green beans this morning along with a few cherry tomatoes and an okra. The poblanos should be ready to pick early next week. There is only a few of them, but last year I didn't get any. I'm heading out to the store this morning. I decided to make one batch of the corn and cherry tomato salsa, so I need to pick up some fresh corn. I'm making vegetable soup for dinner. I plan on using some okra to thicken it up a bit. Not much else going on now. Waiting nervously to pick the butternut squash. I'm hoping to be closing on my refinance next week. I'll be so glad when that is over. Have a great day everyone.
