Mine is far far far from water too, but I strung together irrigation line for cheap, stapled it down, and let the thatch bury it. All the garden hoses never lasted and I got sick of re-purchasing them. This stuff is meant to be in the ground and used, so it can take the thermal variation a hose cannot. Just an idea.soaker hoses are great if your garden is close to a watering source. Mine isn't...it is approximately 500 ft from my house. I do have five 100' hoses hooked up to help me water the garden but that can be a chore too...which is why I came up with alternative methods with the jugs, etc... I had USDA come out to my house because I wanted to see about getting a grant for a rainwater cistern and a hoop house. They are willing to do a grant, but the grant process is nearly a year and a half long. I am unwilling to wait that long so I will just do my own thing on my own dime.
Did you already get your ducks? I remember you saying you wanted some ages ago.Good morning gardeners. We are expecting mid 70s at the end of the week and through the weekend. Guess I’ll be planting grass for buns and ducks already. Overnight lows will move into the low to mid 40s but I dumped ice out of the ducks little pool today. Can’t wait for Friday so I can spend the day outside! Enjoy your day all.
I prefer to just use alaskan fish emulsion. Not a heap of bones laying around here and all the fish I see want to keep their heads.Yes. It was actually a traditional way of planting seed for some Native American tribes.
I did finish a glorious crossover wrap knit shawl, so I can wear it in my chilly lower level and weave.
