Today I'm going to clean out more garden bed's. Also get the seed's ready.:weee

Yesterday I  processed 19 jars of salsa and 8 jars of apple butter.  That was a lot of work.  If I can build up the motivation today I will go and pick our Aronia berries and make a jelly with them.

more questions about the Aronia, ever green? Not sure if they will do well in our zone. 9.. might be to hot. . I looked up the species, there were three different ones. I definitely would not want the hybrid one. This is right up my alley., it's looks beautiful produces fruit and would hide the alley. How tall does your get? And how fast does it grow. Still searching more information.

Have you tried making your own seed tapes?

I just tried it with some carrots and onions. They were more like seed mats but it took a whole lot of bending over out of the process...and...the seeds are sprouting.

No, not yet. . Do you use cornstarch as a base? Toilet paper sounds really good. Thanks for the idea

No...we used some generic Elmers glue.

Did some more today with beets, collards, and kale. We used strips of newspaper this time.

We saw some seed tape at Home Depot...15 ft. for $3.95. At $1.00 an ounce for seed we can do a lot better making our own and it really saves our backs. And we don't pay tax on seed.

The glue doesn't seem to bleed through newspaper nearly as bad.
