What did you do in the garden today?

Not sure what I'll be doing today. I have to get an electrician out here. The power went off for a while last night, and when it came back, only half the house was on. The power company came out and checked, and we have power to the box outside, so the problem is on our end. We have running water (we're on a well), at least. But no stove, fridge, freezer, or water heater.

Check the circuit breakers and the gfi outlets - my stove "died" last week, turns out half my kitchen is connected to one gfi outlet that I popped when I unplugged something.

After experience with such kitchens, I'm off the opinion a kitchen needs at least 3 20amp circuits dedicated just to the wall outlets. I pop breakers like firecrackers.

Spending my normal nap time fixing a solar garden light the toddler broke. It's the landlady's light no less. Oof. She probably won't care, but still!

Hot today, but our water filtration system arrived! Yay! I've never seen this much salt and calcium in water before. You can't drink the tap water it's so dang salty! Couldn't even give it to my cats, and I'm worried about what it's doing to my plants... not to mention my plumbing. That could get bad over time.

I have lots of questions about using rainwater collection for watering my garden next season at the new house. So many questions, I started a thread about it. If any of y'all have any wisdom to share, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Do I spray the leaves, dirt or what exactly? And can I still eat the leaves?

No, not poisonous to us. It is a bacterium that affects caterpillars. Spray the leaves, including under them. Yes, you can still eat the leaves!

Thanks- will try that- I have a CD with rain on it. Have to use the full face mask due to facial injuries in a car accident when I was a teen. My BFF also has to wear one. My question is: has anyone ever had a sleep study that did NoT need CPAP?? Everyone I know over 50 has it.

I swear NO one fits their "Normal" criteria, and they're on the take for a cut of CPAP sales. I'm claustrophobic (yes, masks caused me HUGE anxiety issues), so won't wear one, and I won't clean one daily for DH either. He wears the mouth guard. I sleep with a fan blowing in my face, always have since I was a kid.

Dh did a sleep study. He was 25 at the time and they decided that he didn't need any help. Of course then there's me, lying in bed next to him at night, thumping him in the shoulder when he chokes on his own tongue.
