What did you do in the garden today?

:hit :barnie I broke my favorite Bypass Pruner (Black + Decker, Model BD1176-12) a few days ago. Found the original packaging which boasts a 10 year warranty. Purchase receipt of 12/19/19 at Menards. Went to Menards to replace the item - no longer sold at Menards. OK, disappointing. Went to Black+Decker website, item no longer in their catalogue. Not looking so good for me at this point. Called the 1-800 number, waited on line forever, eventually was disconnected before actually talking to anyone. Sent an email warranty request but expect the same service. Very disappointing and unless there is a happy ending somewhere in the future, I will not buy more products from Black+Decker.

Here is what I am dealing with. Jaws came apart/broke. And yes, screw is tight.

Currently using other Bypass Prunners, but they are not as strong. Until this prunner broke, it really was my favorite.

Now that I can appreciate a good prunner from junk, would anyone care to direct me to a good quality prunner that will last? I cut lots of branches off limbs before I send them through the wood chipper. So I need a well built hand prunner that will stand up over time. Thanks.
I have a wratcheting one that I love!

@Artichoke Lover, lovely garden porn! @BReeder!, nice harvest and clever way to cure your onions! Found out we can still mow before 10 am or after 8 pm so went out at 8 with good intensions to get they yard tidied for mowing. Plan was, I'd do half this morning and the rest tomorrow morning...so by the time I was done seeing to critters (pulled pea plants for fodder, cleaned the coop, gave the assorted bunnies said peas) it was 10 am. So I started the soaker hose and came inside to make lunch.

Okay... by some miracle... the hydrangea that I thought died and was a crispy critter in the heat as of over two weeks ago... has new leaves on the main stem. I never ripped it out because I haven't planted the roses yet, now I'm glad that I'm a procrastinator! Lol

Eta: I'll be planting those roses up in some large pots, and I think I'll put them on each side of the gate the landlady wants to install. Potted, so options!

I found brown speckles on the bottom of a few of my tomatoes. Does anyone know what it is and if I need to do anything?

Could it be blossom rot? At least that is what popped in my head but blossom rot is normally in the center and not dotted.
