What did you do in the garden today?

Everyone in my household has a snow day except me. Oh the joys of working from home.... I did have some minor damage in the chicken run. One of the poles that holds up the overhead nets snapped into 3 pieces. I had to rig up a temporary solution until I can fix it otherwise the goats will get stuck in the net and tear it up. We got about a quarter inch of ice, topped by an inch of snow, and then more sleet on top so everything is nice and crunchy. I've got a nice fire burning in the fireplace and watching the birds eat all my chicken food cause none of the girls want to come out of the coop into the snow. Spoiled chickens.... Maybe I need some of you knitters to make them a snow suit.... 😂

Is that a genuine photo? If so how do you get her to tolerate that and not go crazy with something on her head like that? Either way, adorable.

It looks like a genuine photo and she definitely does not look pleased.... 😂 But this is not my hen. My daughter sent me this picture this morning and asked if I was contemplating making these since she knows how much I spoil my girls. 😂

This is the life I want when I retire.... 😂 My thermostat is set to 70 degrees. It's currently 80 degrees in my living room....as I look outside at the frozen tundra in my backyard. I am SO HAPPY I had this wood burning fireplace built into my home.

I have not had heat in over a month. Give me your fireplace!

Supposed to be maybe in the teens tonight so me and Mrs. Lobo spent a good part of the day putting plants in the garage, Closing up the temp. greenhouse and covering up the stuff that is planted in the ground. Gettin tired of (and maybe too old for) doing this. I think next winter just lettin anything that can't handle it croak and plantin pine trees instead. They'll survive the temps(climate change and all) and You can eat pine seeds right?
