I haven't been able to get mine to keep past April or so. So I do end up buying some, unfortunately. I don't have a good place to store it though, I have no basement or cool storage. How do you keep yours & how long does it last?
I have about 30 cloves still in the basement. They're in a dark pillow case, in a cardboard box. That's how I've stored them for the last 3 years, and it works pretty well, I guess. It's soft neck, Music.

Most of what's left are sprouting, but I use them any way. I will have to buy some eventually before the current crop is ready. I planted 56 cloves. I nearly all 4 clove bulbs, with a few 5s. As an experiment, I planted all the 5ers at one end of the bed, to see if they'll make more 5s. :fl

When I buy garlic, I usually buy what DH likes: The minced stuff in a jar. I wish I could preserve some that way. Anyone know how?

Rear tine vs front tine tillers... I used the neighbor's front tine tiller once to break sandy sod. Then went out and bought a rear tine. Yes, it's a beast, and a workout to use it. To till the sandy soil now, it's a slow walk with a lot of turns.

My other garden is heavy clay. I don't know if a front tine tiller would have been able to cut through the sod when I broke ground there.

My husband planted the new tomato plants, then I weeded and mulched them. I had to put up a temporary barrier thanks to the stupid geese who love to pull my plants out of the ground just for fun.
I got the rest of my herbs and flowers planted.
We are going to put up the premier fencing around the garden but we're too busy today.
We had to sort some heifers to sell, fix and clean the pen so my pigs could go outside, and fix the meatbird pen to get them more room and to keep them from getting out.
My husband took our boys fishing because I wanted him to teach the boys how to clean fish. They were eager to learn and got to filet some for a couple meals.
Then my husband had to start milking cows for the second shift today and I had to do bird chores after I watered all the plants. Now I need to wash dishes, finish the laundry and make supper.
Only found 13 Morels, so sad. :(

We found about 120 the first day we looked. A few days later the weather spiked into the upper 80s. I feel like it affected the morel sprouting... We went looking again yesterday and only found about 15 but they were big yellows!

Good morning gardeners. We’re headed to the park, then I’m getting busty transplanting trees. Our high today is 106. Yuck.

I thought the news was going to report about AI, but it’s just a little fluff story and nothing serious. Wah, I’m not going to get $8.75 a dozen for my eggs because all I have over my run is bird netting. I feel for you, not. What a rip off for eggs and stop whining and fix it. Ok, rant over.
