What did you do in the garden today?

Definitely will do that @igorsMistress. Hoping to get the yard cleaned up and add hardware cloth to the new window I put in the big coop. I’ll likely be installing the window AC units on Saturday morning. Nearly a month earlier than usual. Shade cloth for the garden too.
I would probably die out there, high temps plus humidity :th

I think it takes about 5 years to fruit from seed. I have some seedlings growing in 1 gallon pots, I plan on grafting them latter with fruiting trees.

I only use bags on my Carrie mango tree because its hard to tell when they are ripe. When they turn ripe, and fall off the tree it still looks green. They don't sell them in super markets because they get mushy when they bruise.
Yeah idk what kind his is but he did say he's been growing it for 5 years now!!!

Winds, insane lightning, hail, and almost an inch of rain last night, so just another Tuesday here.
I drove 4 hours round trip yesterday to a architectural salvage shop I love to look for a 'new' door for the bathroom renovation. 36x84 inch solid oak with hammered/rippled glass in the window and 307 stenciled on it. It's from an old courthouse. $100 It's brilliant. I'll remove the room number, maybe, lol. I'll just lightly sand it and reseal the varnish. I love all the dings and rubs.
I WANT to plant the garden, but can't quite bring myself to do it yet. June 1st, or a week prior if the temps are solid is my hard a fast rule. So we're not quite there yet.
I'm on the prowl for 2 gallon nursery pots. I can't believe I can't find any. Amazon prices are high for them, as they're tacking on 'free' shipping cost.
Vent of the morning. Banks that won't make change for you. Grrrr.

You might not die, but you could feel as if you were expiring when the air is so thick it's hard to breathe it in. I don't know how people survive year round in hot, humid climates.

I'm sure they are equally puzzled at how I make it through double-digit-below-zero winters. :)
Corn season, am I right?! Heat indexes of 125' and NO wind, and corn pollen, no clouds. There is literally no air IN the air.

I grew up in the south so I can deal with the heat and humidity but I usually have time to acclimatize. This weather is just too frenetic. Today I needed a hoodie to do the morning chores. Likely will need it tomorrow as well. Friday will be a comfortable 80F but that’s shopping and egg delivery day. I have a lot of trees on my property so that makes mandatory work outside a little more bearable. But since I’m not as frisky as I was in my younger day I’m still careful about pacing myself and staying hydrated.
