They do eat the blackberries but aren't interested in the wild raspberries. They have access to the pasture that abuts the garden but there's just too much for them to make a dent. Goats are browsers rather than foragers. They nibble here and there as they trek around the place and the area next to the garden is too big to fence them off up there even temporarily. Plus there is no shade or water for them up there.is it true that goats eat plants with thorns? if so you can bring your goats to take care of those wild berries.
I can relate. It was supposed to rain Sunday - today. It rained heavily yesterday just a mile north of me but we haven't seen a drop. Next opportunity isn't until this weekend so I'm going to have to water the garden by hand.Planned to up pot a bunch of pineapples but realized I used up the last of my perlite so off to the store I went..
Just checked rainfall for the month - 1.48". That is 5.35" below normal for the month and I doubt we'll get any today/tomorrow as we're at 40% chance of rain.
