What did you do in the garden today?

Rainy day here. The reason I ordered from Indiana berry is because they had raspberries and grapes. They send nice well rooted plants. Not those small pots. I hope the grapes are the same. Not a fan of tiny starts.
Good to know, thanks.

That’s a bit harsh.
Well if the bird was starving already, then it wasn't feeding well where it came from, or something bad was happening there. Throwing a bird just back into the wild is not in it's best interests, especially if it just came supposedly 'from there' in not good shape.

No different than people who bring unwanted puppies and dump them off in parks and on the side of the road if you want the truth about it.

The predators of an area know their turf, something new just thrown there, does not. So who do you think has the hometown advantage here?

If one is concerned about a domesticated animals well being, they don't turn it loose to run the neighborhood, no matter how poorly it may have been treated in the past.

I have been sitting on a bunch of 10ft fence post and end caps. I got an idea to use them as tomato string hangers. I probably could tie them to my existing 4ft fence and run my tomato plants along the fence. I hope it doesn't attract lightning.

I wouldn't about lightning unless you had them way high up in a tree. They should be nice and sturdy too.

You could have expressed your concern without being mean about it. We’re all here to help and support each other, not tear people down. Animals escape, it happens. That doesn’t mean the owners don’t care for them.

Not being mean at all. Nobody is tearing anyone down either.
sometimes natures lessons are hard. Those who are too soft, perhaps should not interfere in nature.

Did you even follow the entire thread or are you just commenting half informed again, like the dusty mouse trap one?

I see a number of people are putting grapes in. Is this the time of year to be doing this?
I am looking for something that perhaps will run along the fence and grapes might do the trick. Any suggestions for some that are sweet and fairly easy to take care of?

Aaron

Let me add: I know about nothing when it comes to grapes. Just that you can make wine from them.

What I hate is they have the crates of about dead plants, and they'd throw them away rather than sell them to me for a deep discount. It's like, you are going to hunk them anyways, how about letting me have them for a buck each? Ill even give you the pots back, just throw them in baggies.. Noop.....

They will peck at it if I put a pot of basil in their coop. I don't know why, but at first, my chicken did not eat the lettuce I threw in, but when I put the lettuce pot next to their coop they ate the entire plant.
My flock got a hanging bird feeder cage thingy for Christmas from Santa. Lol. I find when I throw certain produce on the ground, they ignore it. If I pick it up & stuff it into the hanging cage feeder, they all go crazy trying to jump & reach it! 😂 IE big cabbage leaves, chunks of squash, broccoli stems.
