I spray with water, cover with sheets, hope for the best. Same varieties as you.

Mine actually did not bud out early this year so they weren't affected by the late freeze. Peaches weren't so lucky....

Oh well, I'll take a bumper crop of grapes if I can get it. I still have many months ahead where things could go sideways and destroy my dreams of juice, jelly, and wine.

I have 2 peach trees that haven't even leafed out yet but the they appear to be alive. I don't think they liked the weird weather this year. I can't figure out.
I have a new peach tree that is completely leafed out, it already flowered, and set some fruit. I suppose they may have had it in a hot house somewhere before I purchased it, or could just be the variety. I guess we'll see in a few more weeks if I killed yet another peach tree, lol. You would think I would have better luck with peaches living in Georgia.

I'm waiting for my tomato seeds to break ground and sprout. Planted them a couple days ago in seed starter cells. I use a "disposable" aluminum cake pan with the plastic snap on lid for my seed starting container, and keep an incandescent light on underneath to keep the heat around 80 or 90 degrees.

All my brassicas have been in the ground outdoors since February and haven't grown much, but 60 degrees today, and 84 degrees on Thursday should make the leaves start expanding in size. LOL

The 40 lettuce starts I put in the ground a couple weeks ago are starting to grow a little, and the coming warmth should help them out too.

I have five artichoke plants in pots I need to find a place for somewhere. They've been in an outdoor cold frame for the last month, so they got the dose of cold they need to inspire them to create buds this season.

Hand fertilize? You mean the flowers? Or the soil? Corn definitely doesn’t need help with fertility. Also, after the corn reached a certain age, fertilizing the soil prevents the kernels from growing.
I have Mandan bride seeds, but I don’t feel like growing it, last time was a pain in the arse, and I barely got any corn. I also discovered it was miel corn.

I hand fertilized the flowers as there was no wind and stalked were distanced from each other. even so many kernels were missing.

Noooo! Summer sure swooped down quickly. I don't appreciate temperatures in the 90s, lol. It's too hot for this girl.

Yup, ended up in the hospital due to dehydration and heat exhaustion. Although this is close to normal for us this time of year

My other favorite I can't find anymore, Baskin Robins 31 flavors, from the ice cream store, not the super market. Sniff.

Baskin Robbins was also very good. We used to have a store down the street but it disappeared long ago

I saw a low of 32 on my thermometer this morning. At least we're going to start out with some sunshine! Clear as a bell out there. Which is why it got so cold, I suppose.

I really, REALLY hope the info I found on MSU's website is correct. My fruit blossoms should all be ok if it is. Next week may be a different story though. Tuesday night could again be 32-33 degrees.

I'll be getting the frost sheets and plastic tarps out, just to have them handy.
