What did you do in the garden today?

I don't know the names of any of these horrible weeds really so I'm looking them up. Thisles are rampant this year, bind weed is horrible as usual, Burrs and wild parsnips coming up everywhere. But the worse sticker in the world, we started calling them hell stickers started coming up this week again. They have red stems, red stripes on the leaves and thorns that can go through jeans and leather gloves.

Wish I could share with others some of the rain we've been having.

The newly staked squash this morning.

Picts? Dewberry?

Good morning gardeners. Got my plantings finished yesterday. I planted the last 2 San Marzano tomato plants this morning then watered all the regular gardens. Got the water sprinkler set up to water the high gardens. Had to stop for breakfast and coffee. I managed to finally get my fruit trees sprayed with Neem oil right after breakfast. The wind has been blowing constantly here and I noticed a lull in the breeze and ran outside to get it done. I have tiny apples developing on my Empire apple tree. I'll be watering the high garden in a bit then installing the ac units around the house. Living room, bedroom and the new unit on wheels for the sunroom. That one is big enough to do half the house. My old 60 pound unit is staying in storage this year so my back won't need several days of recovery from installing that. DD got a similar unit on wheels where the hose vents out the window. She got hers running a little while ago. It's supposed to be quieter. Fingers crossed 🤞. I'm waiting for my lavender and dill plants to arrive before doing more planting in the high garden. I have more flowers to plant so I may do that tomorrow. Have a great day all and enjoy these summer-like temperatures.
