What did you do in the garden today?

Hello, I came across this wonderful idea on starting seeds. Instead of planting seeds directly in soil, she plants them between tissue paper on top of soil. This keeps the seeds in place. I must try this..............

I picked a nice mess of green beans from my garden, maybe a little over a quart. Also picked a few turnips and overgrown radishes. I'll cook those down into a pot of greens.

Watered everything else, even the tomatoes and squash this time. It's probably been a week since I watered those. They weren't looking heat stressed at all, but I figured a shot of water wouldn't hurt them. I should've checked the soil moisture level with my new meter first.

I noticed that one of my butternut squash started blooming, too.

These are cheapie-plastic cloches I found at the dollar tree, today. Thought they might come in handy for next spring. Probably drill tiny holes, so they can be secured with a landscape pin. Figured it might be worth a share. The vents are adjustable

Oodles here. 😳 Two plants. One is really going to town. I do feed Miacle Grow to my plants once a week. Brings on flowers.
