What did you do in the garden today?

I harvested several pounds of peanuts today. Going to roast them. Wondering if you can can roasted peanuts?

I also repotted 3 of my 6 pineapple plants. Put them in 5 gallon buckets this time. Hopefully it's the last time I'll have to transplant. They were pretty root bound. I have the other 3 to do but not doing tonight.
I thought roasted, salted peanuts kept for a long time without any special treatment. You got me craving a bag of in-the-shell roasted peanuts now. Thanks. LOL

I'm the same with a mask. During Covid craziness, I hardly went anywhere just because I refused to wear a mask. The few business trips I had to take were absolute torture. I'd go to the bathroom constantly just so I could take the mask off and breath. I nearly drowned as a kid and used to have nightmares about being suffocated so the panic is real.
BINGO.

I don’t like this and I’m sure that no one else does either:

Oh h-e-double hockey sticks no. Walmart has some mouse traps that you bait on the bottom and then turn it and put it down and then when you catch a mouse you just throw it away

I have those, but I don't use the sticky trap inside. They go in and cannot get out. I have several styles. I either catch and toss them alive into the chicken run in the morning for protein, or I take them down the cattle field and let them go about half a mile into the woods.

Youngest granddaughter stayed the night and helped me do some decorating for Halloween. We went out to the green house garden and picked some tomatoes. I let her eat them after we got back inside. Planted a bunch of fall seeds. I put them in pots so hopefully if I have to I can move them inside the house. Still have so many tomatoes peppers and some squash coming up. I decided to give my neighbor a dozen eggs I didn't tell her they were free so she insisted on giving me 5$ for them. So much still going on. That's about all for now. I don't want to bore anyone.

you can can up boiled peanuts, but that's an aquired taste. Like eating slugs.
I bought some boiled peanuts during our vacation to South Carolina in August.

Boiled slugs is about accurate. I discovered I'm not a an. 🤮

Salted, roasted peanuts in the shell on the other hand.... 😍

I used live traps all last year in my coops. I caught a scary amount of mice in them. I would take them to the state park about 2 - 3 miles from my house and release them. I don't like killing things, if I have a decent alternative. Although the last time I released a mouse at the state park, it was immediately nabbed by a snake I didn't even know was there. 😳

DH picked up these little decorations at the Dollar store yesterday. If Cartman were a pumpkin.... 😂
