What did you do in the garden today?

6-11 inches now coming. winds gusting to 50mph
Ya. Sigh. It is January and we do need the wet.
Spending the day dieseling up vehicles, plugging them in, turning them around in the garages and throwing straw for the noodle-necks who get put away tonight.
We'll bank about 100 gallons of water today too.

Garden porn in last night's evening post. :yesss:

I think these 18-inch hoops are the perfect size to make cages. I will zip tie 3 hoops to 3 bamboo stakes and see how study they are, it might work.

My adult nephew told me that his friend told him that Ashanda supplements gave him crazy dreams and I told him; I have also experienced that, and I've been coming up with a lot of good ideas lately. I did a search, and this is what came up:

Yes, some people have reported experiencing vivid dreams after taking ashwagandha. However, it’s important to note that everyone’s body reacts differently to supplements, and what one person experiences may not be the same for another. If you’re considering taking ashwagandha and are concerned about potential side effects, it’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional. They can provide guidance based on your individual health needs and circumstances.

8.5 in or so - tapering off now. Chickens & dog = not happy. Me = happy! Spent half the day in the hot tub with my gardening hat on enjoying the snow. (don't mind all the junk parked in the yard, neighbors have 2 dead trees they won't cut down so we have to park things in the middle of the yard away from the trees )

6-8 inches of snow coming tomorrow night
We drove down into the city today to run husband errands and as long as I was there, I needed another ball of yarn. LOL Priorities.
Old girl is now being treated for sour crop. No food, and ACV water after giving her ACV directly. She looks fine, just running a little pokey.
Bathrooom is 99.9% done. I'm waiting on a fan and a door guide, they put one two sizes too large in the door kit. All should be here by Thursday.

The size of your bathroom in the picture is about the entire size of mine. I absolutely love your bathroom.

I think one of my girls isn't laying eggs. Is there anything I can do or should do to help her get laying again. She's not old enough for molting.
I think it's a natural occurrence. My chickens in my back yard stopped laying before the ones in my front yard and when the ones in the back started up again, the ones in the front stop laying. They just started up again.

I use about 2TBS of cider vinegar per gallon of water with a little ground charcoal. This helps them utilize the excess calcium in their body. I notice that I get better quality eggs and more of them when I do this.

Thank you. Yes, it's a huge bathroom. 10x14 feet.
We've had some in military housing years ago that was so small it made a camper bathroom seem delux. Our last house had a massive 20 foot long 8 foot wide bathroom with a tiny 3 foot x 9 foot closet off the side of it that held both the shower 3x3 foot and the toilet with a tiny space between the two to stand. THAT was a ridiculous floorplan. You couldn't even touch your toes in the shower without hitting your head on the wall.
This bathroom, now, is just ahhhhh, relaxing. I can't believe it took me 10 years to get around to doing it, and then I have no idea where the 8 weeks it took me to do it went!
