What did you do in the garden today?

Morning. Rain is coming - they say 2-4 inches. Everything will flood because it's going to melt the 8.5 inches of snow on the ground. Schools are already closing early. Supposed to be super windy too so we'll probably lose power. But I guess I'm thankful it's not snow!

My lettuce is sprouting in my indoor greenstalk, yay!

We want to do this. Don't care a bit about resale value. We'll be here the rest of our lives.

OMG, when I say "I barked my shins," nobody knows what I mean!
I'm tempted. But we may move somewhere when we retire. I'd love to go to the PNW, DH says no way. So maybe VT or even UT or NV. But in reality I don't want to leave my family/friends so we should just do the bathroom. :lau

Starting Wednesday our high temperatures won't be higher than 5'F. Factor in the wind and ugh, buy me a ticket to the tropics please.
We are having heavy rains in the tropics with an unexpected drop in solar energy due to the weather. My electricity went out last night while I was getting into my online novel, so I went to bed early. I found out that we had rolling black outs through the night. I think they solved the problem; I would go stir crazy without my internet connection.

I have to adjust the fertilizer strength in all my Kratky buckets when it lets up. Although my buckets are under an eve, the wind blows the rainwater on the buckets.

Snow finally rolled in to upstate Pennsylvania this week. Yay!!

I've sorted through my left-over seeds from last year, and am planning my seed order to have ready for my next pay-check. Gonna set up a grow room in my basement in March, so I'm making my shopping list now, and I'll start accumulating/buying supplies as I can.

Good idea! Garden supplies are often cheaper in the off season, if you can find them. Getting stuff bit by bit keeps the budget burden down. And, if you don't "have to have it right now because I have to plant stuff right now," you canregularly check the garden stores/aisles, and see if anything is on sale.

I do that with groceries too. I'm not out of taco shells, but they were half off this week. Time to stock up!

I put my nose print on the window. Snowing here, not thinking of garden time yet!
