What did you do in the garden today?

It was really fun being in the path of totality a few years ago. Have FUN!
It’s getting fun with all the businesses, fairgrounds and everything planning something. It’s basically going to be jam packed with activities all weekend leading up to the eclipse. Schools are cancelled that day. They are expecting a lot of traffic.

Now, the weather needs to cooperate.

That's where I'm at already & it's only been going for like 7 hours. :gig I do like to make the bones soft enough so the chickens will eat them all, but I'm sick of babysitting it, my stove sucks. It's boiling one minute then it's forming a film on top the next. I can't maintain a nice simmer with my stupid glass top stove.
I make bone broth in my Crockpot/slow cooker. No need to watch it, 12 hours on low is enough.

Yep. It was fun. They cancelled classes, not school. And there were plenty of parties. We were cloudy, right up until it started, and then we cleared up. It was fun.

Mouse report. 2 in live trap in garage. I say bait not killing them. Maybe I should keep one and feed it the homemade bait.
I mixed 50/50 baking soda and a sweet corn flour mix and put it on a small plate and put it by my fish food. Something made a hole in my fish food bag, so I took action.

This morning, I notice footprints on the baking soda/ flour mix and some of the mix was on the floor. I am pretty sure if it was a mouse, it's not going to make it.

This is how I got rid of the rats outside.
